What is the point?

I downloaded this to use as a backup for the Apple TV remote. I went to the iwavit website, as instructed, to "get" whatever else I needed, but couldnt figure it out. I did the same exact thing recently for the ROKU iPhone app and it worked like a charm immediately after downloading. If it isnt simple, what is the point?
